Lacking half titles. Very Good, offsetting and edge wear to boards, light marginal foxing to contents (including maps), armorial bookplates to paste downs. Maps generally in very nice shape with no significant wear or sophistication. An illustrated history of the American Revolution as told from the British side, considered the standard work on the subject throughout the 19th century. Sotheby's auctions states, "The maps accompanying this work illustrate actions at Bunker Hill, Long Island, New Jersey, Saratoga, Charleston, Camden, Guilford Court House, Yorktown, and other sites.
