A parcel sent by FedEx from the UK to a US customer in Chesapeake Beach in Maryland last week, has allegedly been stolen from the front porch on Tuesday March 23rd before they could retrieve the package. The loss has been reported to FedEx, and the customer has made a report to local police.

The missing books are:

  • Marie Stopes, Wise Parenthood, London, 1918. First edition in original grey paper backed boards, with printed paper label lettered in red on upper cover, some light cockling to the covers, but otherwise a very good copy.
  • Theodor Van de Velde. Sex Efficiency through exercises. London, William Heinemann, 1933. Original blue publisher’s cloth. Contains a series of 12 ‘cinematographic’ films on 480 flicker cards. Distinguishing feature is that one of the supplement card dividers has a 6cm tear, and with old manuscript initials in upper corner of half-title.
