The books listed below have gone missing from Randall House.  All the books should have price and notes penciled in the back, with id numbers.

BLANCKLEY, Thomas Riley. A Naval Expolitor, Shewing and Explaining the Words and Terms of Art Belonging to the Parts, Qualities, and Proportions of Building, Rigging, Furnishings, Fitting a Ship for Sea. Also All Species that are Received into the Magazines and on What Services They are Used and Issued. Together With The Titles of all the Inferior Officers Belonging to a Ship; with an Abridgment of Their Respective Duties. London: Printed by E. Owen in Warwick Lane, and Engraved by Paul Fourdinier at Charing Cross, 1750. 191 pp. Illustrated with engraved title and 330 marginal engravings, three larger engravings in text. Quarto, later full speckled polished calf ruled and decorated in gilt, red and brown gilt lettered spine labels. Slight toning of title page, else fine. First edition. With the bookplate of Donald V. Reardon. An interesting and decorative marine dictionary. The engravings are very finely executed and illustrate the text clearly. All manners of word of nautical reference are explained, from A-Baft to Yawes. A contemporary hand has elaborated on the last few words, making for interesting addenda. The four page list of subscribers includes, amongst others and as one might expect, Lord Halifax and others of England's notables of the time. Donald V. Reardon (1914-2005) of San Francisco was a naval architect  particularly interested in bookbinding, which he did himself, and collected maritime books for over sixty years.

FEUILLET, Octave. Le Sphinx. Drame en Quatre Actes. Paris: Michel Levy Freres, 1874. Illustrated. Octavo, full green morocco with blue and red morocco inlays, all decorated with gilt, heavy gilt spine with raised bands, inner gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, by Vermorel, with original wrappers bound in. Fine. First edition with ALs by the author and a "carte de visite"  from the play tipped in. Bound in is a two page ALs from Feuillet as well as the original drawing of the Sphinx used for the binding. Original wrappers bound in. The play itself premiered at the Theatre François in Paris March 23, 1874.

. MILLIER, Arthur .  California Hills. Los Angeles: Bruce McCallister, 1931. Illustrated by Paul Landacre. Small folio, cream and blue patterned boards. Covers a little browned at edges, faint browning to inner margins (from spine glue?), else interior fine. One of 500 copies, signed by Landacre.

Madrid: En la Imprenta Real, 1796. Octavo, full tree calf over boards, red morocco gilt lettered label on spine, marbled endpapers. Front board a little bowed, faint stamps on front and rear cover "Withdrawn State College of Washington Library", edges a little rubbed, library label tipped to front pastedown, rubberstamp from "Early Birds Club, Mexico" on verso of title page, library number at bottom margin of ff "A", terminal free endpaper with two small holes at bottom, light occasional foxing; albeit a nice tight copy  . Second edition with an errata leaf.

London: Printed for Humphrey  Moseley at the sign of Prince's Arms in St. Pauls Church-yard, 1654. Illustrated with engraved frontispiece and eleven portraits. Small folio, three quarter brown morocco over brown cloth, lettered in gilt on spine, marbled endpapers. Spine and corners a little rubbed, spine slightly faded, else fine. First English edition. With the last leaf signed  by Thurloe Secr'. Thurloe was Secretary of State to Oliver and Richard Cromwell. With the bookplate of Howard C. Levis, F. S. A. Rare German work including a description of early Spanish California

Leipzig: Gerhard, Fleischer d'Jung, 1805. , 283, pp. . Illustrated with copper plates, some folding, and two folding maps, one of the city of Washington, the other of North America from the Tropic of Cancer to northern Canada. 12mo, rebacked (old rebacking), original decorated brown boards. Some rubbing to covers, small tear in each folding map, bookplate on front pastedown, else fine. First edition.
