The following items were stolen:  

Title : Dramatic Dialogues for the Use of Young Persons. By the Author of the Blind Child Authors : Date of publication : 1792 Publisher : E. Newbery, London Description : Three engraved plates. First Edition. Two volumes bound in one. Small 8vo. . , 196 pp; f, 163pp. Contemporary binding by R. King of Hythe (with his printed yellow label) of tree calf, the covers with a thin gilt roll border. Smooth spine divided into six panels by a gilt pallet, lettered in the second panel on a red goatkskin label, the edges of the boards tooled with a blind roll, plain endleaves, lightly sprinkled edges. (A little worn). A few spots and a little light soiling, but a good copy. With the printed yellow label of R. King of Hythe and a recent bookplate of a sailing ship.  

Title : Toxophilus, the Schole, or Partitions, of Shooting. Contayned in II Bookes. Written by Roger Ascham. 1544. And now newlye perused. .... To which is Added, a Dedication and Preface, by the Reverend John Walters, M.A. Authors : ASCHAM (Roger) Date of publication : 1788 Publisher : reprinted by R. Marsh, Wrexham Description : Engraved frontispiece by Darling with contemporary hand-colouring, woodcut head and tail-pieces. 12mo. . xxi, (i), 230, pp. Newly bound in old style calf, the spine lettered on a green label, plain endleaves, uncut edges. A few trivial spots but a very good, uncut, copy. There are some neat ink annotations, written by F.W.S. Brydges, who has signed his name on the front endleaf, with the date Nov. 29th 1788, and the reference "Tibberton Library".

Title : Parish Sermons Authors : GOODWIN (Rev. Harvey) Date of publication : 1847 Publisher : Deightons, Cambridge Description : First Edition. 8vo. . viii, 303, pp. Contemporary binding of hard-grained blue goatskin, the covers with a gilt border composed of a triple fillet and dotted roll and repeated impressions of three floral tools. The spine divided into six panels with gilt compartments, lettered in the second and at the foot, the others tooled with a flower and vine leaves on a dotted background, the edges of the boards tooled with a gilt roll, the turn-ins and matching inside joints with gilt fillets, a "Greek-key" roll and a crest roll, ivory watered silk endleaves, gilt edges, elaborately gauffered with floral tools. (A little rubbed and refurbished). A very good copy in a handsome binding with elaborately gauffered edges. There is an ink inscription on the front fly-leaf: "Ellen Goodwin from Mr. Deighton, Cambridge 1848".  

Title : Christian Lyrics: Chiefly Selected from Modern Authors Authors : Date of publication : 1868 Publisher : Sampson, Low, Son, and Marston, London Description : Woodcut frontispiece and woodcut vignettes and decorations throughout the text. Small 4to. . 180pp. Bound in contemporary brown polished calf, the covers with a blind triple fillet border and panel, with a gilt fleur-de-lis in the corners and blind stars in the compartments. The spine divided into six panels with blind fillets, lettered in the second panel on a black label, the others with a gilt fleur-de-lis, the turn-ins tooled with gilt rolls, plain endleaves at the front with a painted miniature inset inside the front boards, marbled endleaves at the rear, gilt edges. A little foxing but a very good copy. Of particular note is the miniature painting inside the front cover.
